- Hotel de la Balance is set in a 16th century building in the historical center of Montbéliard, just 200 meters from Montbéliard Castle. Very accommodating to cyclists. They had a nice secure area to store our bikes.

This hotel is set in the heart of Besançon, just 700 metres from the banks of the Doubs River. Guests have free Wi-Fi internet access and are invited to relax in the hotel's lounge bar. Loved this place for a layover from cycling.

The Best Western Citadelle is located in the historic city center of Besançon, a 5-minute walk from the Doubs River and the Citadelle. Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms. Location was good, breakfast ok. Parking good but you need to book prior to visiting.
