The most extraordinary and beautiful stay we’ve experienced on the island. Hars welcomed us with care and showed us his beautiful garden and unique plants that are growing there. He is a genius gardener that makes everything grow effortlessly on the lava rock (Sumba island is a pure lava rock). Hars made us organic meal with what was grown in the garden. Our view from the palapa was a killer! So as the night sky! Hars made us campfire, played guitar for us and showed us how to use tripod for night photo shooting. It was incredible! Hars and his amazing garden will stay in our memories forever. 🙏🏻❤️ If you want to relax and truly enjoy the nature, you must stay here.

Nastanitev Lambo Homestay se nahaja v Waikabubaku in nudi vrt, skupni prostor za druženje, teraso ter razgled na vrt. Great location, excellent value for money, with a family-like atmosphere and valuable tips! We initially booked for only one night but ended up extending our stay by 2 nights. If the room hadn't been already booked, we probably would have stayed longer. It's important to note that there aren't many (affordable) accommodations on Sumba, and the island is still quite "rudimentary" in general. However, Lambo Homestay is a fantastic option if you want to visit the beautiful beaches in the south. It's only about a 15-minute scooter ride away, and they also provide great recommendations, such as the best sunset spots and places for horseback riding. The room is stylishly decorated, the beds are comfortable, and the AC is wonderfully quiet. Yes, you can hear the morning prayers at 5 am, but compromises have to be made on this island. The food is delicious and highly recommended! Additionally, I must mention that one of us had a high fever one evening, and we were genuinely cared for and supported in an incredibly warm and compassionate manner!
