Monica and Georgio were lovely friendly hosts. Breakfast was fabulous with a variety of salume, cheese, homemade cakes, fresh fruit, hand squeezed fresh orange juice and more. Our room was spacious with a beautiful view. Georgio even fixed us a perfect lunch after we arrived mid afternoon. Directions and suggestions of places to drive in Tuscany were even provided as well as restaurant suggestions. Although they were busy with picking grapes and making wine they still made time to tell us about the grape varieties and the wine processing. Altogether a lovely stay.

Antonella and her staff couldn't do enough for me. Very warm people, and certainly know how to welcome and look after travellers. Had 3 glasses of wine within an hour of arrival as others were doing a tasting. Was also offered bottles to take to the room. Breakfast was an enormous selection of options. She even did my laundry (not officially part of the service), as I'm travelling for 6 weeks around EU You do need a car to get to this lovely winery/ B&B. Highly recommended.

It's a very nice quiet place with a view of San Gimignano. There are chickens and other birds sometimes roaming around as well as a sweet friendly dog named Kira, which we loved. The location is near San Gimignano, it might be too far to walk, but perfectly located when you're travelling by car (the road is a bit rough, but adds to the experience. If you go slow and don't mind the cars behind you, you'll be ok). Whenever we went on day trips to Siena or Volterra etc., coming back to Montauto made us feel relaxed and the best part of the day was coming back to eat a light dinner of olives, salami, focaccia etc with some wine during sunset. Marinella is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. She offers a great italian breakfast (both sweet and savoury), which is a perfect way to start the day. We will definitely want to stay here again, if we come back to the area.

Our stay at Antico Casolare was absolutely perfect. The gorgeous home is located just minutes walk from San Grimignano, arguably the most stunning medieval town in Tuscany. The views of the town from the property were beyond belief and were made even better when eating a buffet breakfast whilst looking out to the town. The breakfast was amazing, so many delicious foods to try. The icing on the cake was definitely the host, Gabriella. She is just delightful - very friendly, helpful and funny. She also makes great coffee! Our room was lovely - spotlessly clean and the bed was super comfortable. All in all I would say it was the best place we have stayed in since being in Italy and will definitely return.
