Room is very small but was like the photos. Sink is outside of the bathroom. It is a basic room useful for a short stay like ours as it had a bathroom and a bed so that was all we needed. Good location and place to park right outside the hotel.

Very small comfortable city with good sights and good food.
Very small comfortable city with good sights and good food. French or Alsace specialities are much hyped but if some meat with sauerkraut and flammkuchen are their flagship dishes, then they have a long way to go.

Colmar is a stunning old town that is easily walkable. It’s equally stunning at night. There are endless restaurants and places to have a drink.
It does get a bit noisy at night and I think more care must be taken by locals at night bombing through the streets after dark.

The old town itself is delightful, and the rather short but serene river boat ride not to be missed. The Tram ride is worthwhile...a bit bumpy, and in German, but the ride presents you with a sketch of which parts of the town are right for you to explore.
On the other hand, parking for the hotels in Old Town is awful...one has to park very far away and drag suitcases to the your hotel, unless your hotel has a person who, for a good tip, can do that for you. The city fathers should at least allow taxis to do this for tourists.

I loved the fairytale feeling of Colmar.
I loved the fairytale feeling of Colmar. I also love the location. I was able to visit several other fairytale villages in France and then go into Germany and Switzerland as well. The wine is better than I expected also.
Colmar is a walking town. You can walk all around the old town and enjoy the shops. It’s very safe and friendly.

It's like a fairytale city which I always wanted to visit. It's so quiet and nice.
For dinner the restaurants are open from 7 pm to 9:30 pm or latest 10 pm.
Prices are a bit too high though. Around 25 euros only for the main dish for a person.
There are not coffee specialty places. Wherever I bought a cappuccino it was not the best, quite average I would say if you are a coffee lover.

Colmar is in a great location for people interested in the wineries of Alsace. We booked a private wine tour and visited several beautiful old villages and three wineries. I highly recommend this activity. We also highly recommend the Unterlinden Museum (the Issenheim Altarpiece is amazing) and the Bartholdi Museum. If you are able to prepare your own meals, the covered market in Colmar is a great place to shop for local foods and produce and it is located near Little Venice, so it's a scenic stroll. We took the bus to see the replica Statue of Liberty and I wouldn't recommend this activity unless you have a car. The statue is situated on an extremely busy roundabout so we were unable to get close to it - I'm really not sure how people on Instagram managed to get their amazing photos. Finally, if you are travelling during Lent, check to see when the Colmar Carnaval is being held. We personally did not enjoy the noise and the crowds, but we weren't expecting it since we didn't know about the Carnaval before travelling.
The hotel is pretty close to the centre of the town. The staff is really nice and welcoming. We got a tiny double room, but to be honest we just needed it to stay overnight. The bathroom is tiny but clean. The room was air-conditioned. No kettle in the room, but we found a nice café to have breakfast. I believe that the Hotel Primo offers breakfast as well but we wanted to sit outside and admire the view. The town of Colmar is gorgeous. The young lady helped us with our backpacks as we left them at the hotel before we left for Strasbourg.
My husband and I were traveling with our daughter’s family. The lounge area gave us a place to gather and our granddaughter the opportunity to make new friends. Breakfast was very good and easy as Colmar doesn’t open up until after 11:00. We had an opportunity to experience new breads and their eggs were exceptional. The location was a 2 minute walk to the historic district and had hotel parking, a must for visiting other small towns in the area.
Beautifully designed hotel with a very friendly and professional staff. The room was nicely with nice interior design with a decent size. Breakfast was excellent and splendid spa. The massage was very professional and well done. Again the staff from the breakfast was professional/friendly and happy to work at the hotel. Highly recommend to stay there if you visit Colmar. It is worth the price.
The staff were extremely friendly and warm. The check-in was fast. The hotel has a positive vibe, the restaurant seems lively in the evening but not.noisy at all. There's a nice bar and some comfy places to sit. They provide a daily newspaper in French. It's a convenient place if you have a car. Colmar centre is a 10 min drive away, and it's easy to park in the centre.
Very nice and clean hotel close to the train station but also to the city center, only 15 min walking. The staff is very friendly and helpful. In the room you have everything you need, toiletries and also slipers. It was a surprise to find out that, what is in the mini bar, is included in the price room. In conclusion, a good stay to visit Colmar.
Hotel location was decent. Close enough to the train station. And you can walk to the city. Buses are infrequent and I didn't see any taxies in Colmar. It seemed like most of the people who visited came driving. If you did, then maybe this location makes sense.
The staff was really nice too.
Excellent service. Room was perfectly clean with high quality linen and towels. Lovely to have a Nespresso as well. Breakfast buffet was the best we've encountered on our trip through France. Location near the Gare de Colmar suited us because we could walk. All in all highly commended.
The rooms are nice and modern, with a clean feel, and very spacious. The beds are big and very comfortable. The staff is lvoely; polite and helpful. The hotel is in a very quiet location, away from the crowds of Colmar's centre, but still a 10 minute walk from it.
James Boutique is on the edge of Colmar central and an easy few minute walk to the centre. The staff were super friendly and polite. The hotel is modern & very clean. We were surprised & appreciative of the upgrade and complimentary evening pre-dinner drink.
I can’t brag enough about this property. The location is perfect especially if you are coming in on the train. if you are driving it is much easier to drive in this neighborhood versus other towns in Southern France.
Ibis is Ibis. If you are familiar with the concept, you know what you get. The hotel was chosen because of parking possibility and the distance to the old city centre (5 minutes of waking).
The location is perfect for someone travelling by train and making a short stop in Colmar. The hotel is a short walk from the station and with easy walking distance from the town centre
If you want to feel France authenticly you should choose this hotel. So simple breakfast but so special In that ambient. The host was very kind. They have very good home made wine.
Extremely comfortable hotel, perfect location in the centre of Colmar. Very good breakfast with lots of choice, enjoyed overlooking the Lauch within Petite France.
